My name is Maddy and am the person behind The Wedding Nanny, qualified in Early Years Childcare with 7 years experience in the childcare sector. I have always had a passion for caring for children and meeting the needs of each individual child I work with and gaining their trust is my priority. I have been providing my child-care services for families in the local area for 7 years whether that be nannying, babysitting, or providing childcare for weddings.
I started my childcare journey back in 2016 within a well known nursery in my local area and it was here that I met my first nanny family whom I was with for 4 years. I have worked with children of all ages, and consider myself to be an outgoing, patient and responsible caregiver and pride myself in always going the extra mile. I am DBS checked and insured and Paediatric first aid trained.

May 2016 - June 2019
NURSERY NURSE
I started as a nursery nurse within the baby unit, working with babies aged 3 months to 2 years. I have experienced all ages within the nursery and spent time in all units, including toddlers and pre-school and encouraging learning through play to promote optimum child development. I soon became knowledgeable on the 'Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)' and incorporated that into my daily work life, completing learning journals for the children and updating their development. Whilst working a full time job here, I also studied for my Level 3 in Early Years Childcare, allowing me to further my knowledge and practice within the Early Years sector. During my time at Bright Horizons, I also won ‘The Exception learner award, 2018' at the company's ‘Awards of excellence'. I established a very good report with the parents of the children in my care where I also provided babysitting services for many of the families.
September 2019 - 2023
NANNY
My first family that I nannied for was based in Reigate, caring for 3 girls aged between 4 and 7 years and did do for 4 years. I developed a strong bond with all of them through compassionate verbal and physical interaction. I worked with them all through the pandemic, creating themed weeks full of fun and educational activities whilst incorporating their home schooling to keep them entertained and engaged.
I Safely transported the children from school, to events and keeping on top of their schedule to establish reliability and trust. When all 3 girls were in school from september 2022 I took on more of the housekeeper duties. Preparing meals daily, cleaning, organising their clubs and looking after their family dog.
2024
NANNY
I currently Nanny for a family of 6 in Reigate, including 4 children under the age of 10 years. My main role is to get the children ready for school and dropped of, maintaining their home and taking care of all the duties related to the children, as well as school picks ups and preparing dinner. During the holidays, I enjoy taking them out and exploring, alongside providing stimulating activities which are age appropriate.
